The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G Review

Tablets are basking in well-deserved attention and manufacturers know they need to try hard and make their devices distinct and memorable. Truly unique gadgets are hard to come by these days - especially in Honeycomb land. Which is perhaps part of the reason why iPad is still the one to beat. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G is in for a challenge, and up for it.

Shortly after launch the Galaxy Tab 10.1 was blessed with a custom user experience, called Touch Wiz UX, which literally puts more color into Honeycomb, offers a good selection of customizable widgets and most importantly tries to ease your way into Android for tablets.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 offers a feature set that is rivaled by few tablet devices. The first thing that you'll notice is the brilliant display screen. Whether watching videos, surfing the web or using productivity applications, the screen provides a user experience that is remarkably like using a full-sized computer. We were impressed with the speed at which web-based video content loaded and the flawless playback. Switching videos to full-screen mode is a delight. While we expected to see notable pixilation in full-screen, the reality was that the images remained sharp with beautiful color saturation. Videos played every bit as smoothly as we're accustomed to seeing on a desktop

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, a bright 10.1" PLS TFT display of WXGA resolution, a premium set of connectivity options and plenty of storage space. Check out the full list of things going for (and against) the Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G below.

Apple iPad 2 review:Thin. Light. Fully loaded.

A year ago, nobody had an iPad. Then Apple sold 15 million of them in just nine months, creating a whole new category of technology product. The iPad may have become, in the words of Steve Jobs, “the most successful consumer product ever launched.”

It turns out that a lot of people saw the iPad’s appeal: it’s a supremely portable device that’s well suited for checking your e-mail, surfing the Web, playing games, reading books and other stuff you get off the Internet, and even for getting work done. Kids and the elderly have embraced it.

It’s awfully hard to follow such a massive success, but that’s the task set out for Apple’s new iPad 2, which goes on sale Friday. At least the iPad 2 has this going for it: the original model caught the technology industry so flat-footed that only now are true competitors beginning to appear.

Those competitors will now face a new iteration of the iPad, one that’s faster, smaller, and lighter than the model introduced a year ago—all while retaining the $499 entry price that has proven all but impossible for Apple’s competitors to match. It’s almost unfair.

Apple iPhone 4S review: Fast 4ward

        Introduction

The last thing you need is one that looks exactly like your ex. On a second thought, it's too early perhaps to end it. You two did look great together, your iPhone 4 and you. In fact you still do.iPhone 4S owners, this is between you and your phone's inner voice - Siri. iPhone 4 owners, this is between you and your inner voice. Yes, we know your inner voice is telling you to go for the NEXT iPhone. And no, we're not telling you not to listen to it. Just hang on. Maybe this review will help.

But let's go back and start at the beginning. Every year, a new iPhone is raising the bar for the industry. Usually, it's half a point up - a full point on special occasions. The iPhone 4 was such a special occasion. The iPhone 4S is the half-point type. There probably is nothing special about it. At least, not on the outside.
No, we didn't mean that. The iPhone 4S is still one of the best looking smartphones we've seen. There's just nothing new on the outside to suggest the amount of work done on the innards. And the iOS 5 is only half of the story.
The iPhone 4S is promoted to the dual-core league and has more powerful graphics. There's a major boost to imaging too, with 8MP stills and 1080p video. And on top of it all, Apple try to take voice recognition to a new level with Siri. All in all, the iPhone 4S is a completely different phone under the hood. A brand new device that has been developed for months.

        Key features

        • iOS 5 with iCloud integration
        • Quad-band GSM and quad-band 3G support with 14.4 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA
        • Dual-band CDMA and CDMA2000 1xEV-DO support
        • 3.5" 16M-color LED-backlit IPS TFT capacitive touchscreen of 640 x 960 px resolution
        • Scratch-resistant glass front and rear, with fingerprint-resistant coating
        • 1GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 CPU, PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU, Apple A5 SoC
        • 512MB of RAM
        • Voice recognition, Siri virtual assistant
        • 8 MP autofocus camera with LED flash and touch focus
        • 1080p video recording at 30fps
        • Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotpsot
        • GPS with A-GPS connectivity; digital compass
        • 16/32/64GB storage options
        • Accelerometer, proximity sensor and a three-axis gyro sensor
        • Active noise cancellation with a dedicated secondary microphone
        • Standard 3.5 mm audio jack, stereo Bluetooth v4.0
        • Excellent audio quality
        • Slim waistline at only 9.3mm
        • Secondary front-facing VGA camera
        • Built-in Picture and Video editors
        • Rich AppStore
        • New antenna design and improved signal reception in poor signal areas

On the other hand, it’s a phone you've already seen. You probably have it in the pocket as we speak. And the list of cons does sound familiar, doesn't it? Ah, there you go. We knew you’d notice. The last thing Apple needed was another Antennagate – and as far as we can tell, they’ve had it sorted out.
Apple will probably let this one slip by with a shy, almost apologetic, “Don’t mention it”. But they’ll certainly feel entitled to at least some gratitude for the other stuff in the new iPhone 4S. Things like the dual core CPU and upgraded GPU, iOS 5 and iCloud integration, the new cameraphone credentials and Siri, the she-Jeeves of the digital age.

IPTV: The Future Of Small Screen Is Here

IPTV market is still at a nascent stage in India. Telecom operators are deploying pilot projects in certain regions to test the infrastructure capabilities and functionalities on the technology front as this will be a major factor that will drive the acceptance of the users. The IPTV market in India is estimated to grow strongly – but how long that is going to take is anyone’s guess. High demand for interactive and customized digital TV services will provide strong growth avenues to the IPTV market in the near future. The increase in broadband penetration in India will help reduce costs of IPTV services considerably.

With internet TV, video calls, computing all packed to give the user a different experience, IPTV hold a promising future to television viewer ship in India. The country has always been a fertile ground for the mass media industry whether it is movies or television shows, Indian viewers fondly welcomed all types of entertainments. It is also open to the latest technologies. The increasing number of mobile users in India is a clear indication how the latest technology can easily reach out to even the remotest parts of the country. One of the reasons why DTH has become very popular in India is that it reaches where the cable network cannot reach, and the role of the government to increase broadband penetration will also feed the growth of the IPTV market.

Interactivity will play a major role to popularize the IPTV concepts to existing broadband users, as the cost of operations would be much cheaper than the existing DTH services. Well, not to overlook the DTH operators who are taking the lead in India by providing users video-on-demand and a free recorded-TV service using broadband which will fuel the interest of the users and introduce them to the next generation TV viewing.

Technical features like movie on demand, video calling, internet telephony, in room entertainment for hospitality and content distribution over the internet is the current trend of today, and will be a major competitor to existing DTH users. With technologies like cloud computing and FTTH coming into play, the IPTV may just replace the home desktop PC, music player, and gaming console.

Overall, the major factors that distinguish IPTV service provider would be infrastructure (broadband technologies and speed), content availability on IP and cost of hardware. The hardware cost and the capabilities of the hardware to perform without major errors would place the provider on the top. NextBit has an advantage with regards to the hardware and capabilities of the technology which we have been working on for the last five years and are steps ahead in terms of R & D and product evolution. We are continuously adding features and functionality as we deem fit for the market.

Social Media And Email Marketing To Top Online Marketing Initiatives

In the past few years, marketing has undergone a dramatic change. It has lead entrepreneurs to create better ways to reach their customers by engaging them with better content, rather than the like and dislike buttons in the digital marketing. The social media with 68.8 percent and email marketing with 53.1 percent, are going to be the top two online marketing initiatives that will see an increase in marketing investments in 2012, states India e-Marketing Outlook 2012, conducted by Octane.in. Octane.in is a provider of email services and creator of on-demand multi-channel marketing campaigns platform.
        social media and email marketing

Indian companies have just understood the role of social media and online marketing in their eventual growth. This year several startup companies and even old school players such as cement, car, iron and steel companies, will be seen using digital marketing, specially social media for their business growth. “Startups who will allocate more of their budget for digital marketing rather than traditional marketing, which is an expensive way of marketing especially for startups, will see tremendous growth in their business. Among all the digital marketing methods, social marketing is free to some extent and can be aggressively used by them to create buzz among the target audience,” says Adhvith Dhuddu, Founder and CEO, AliveNow, a social media management firm.

The end of 2011 saw social marketing standing at a profound crossroads. Some organizations understood the importance of social networks and, as a result, increased investments in creative engagements, marketing and service programs. In 2012, the social media marketing will only continue to mature with a better understanding of what really works in social media. “Some of our clients have increased their marketing budget spend on the online, search engine marketing, email marketing and social media marketing. We have even seen our clients increasing their budget by over 100-150 percent exclusively for social media marketing,” adds Dhuddu.

Apart from the engagement that social media brings in, there are few other reasons for the companies to enter into the field. The executives of such companies are being compelled by the young generation to indulge in social media to ensure a much better reach to their target audience. “Several executives have started using digital media, especially social media, for the first time after being encouraged by their kids. Kids influence them to join their social media account and get a hang of it to understand its importance in the current market trend,” says Bhupendra, CEO, InRev Systems, a web-based product company.

The TRAI directive on usage of SMS for promotional messages has also compelled several companies to increase their email marketing budget by more than 11 percent in 2012. “India will see an increase in the digital users by 30-40 percent compared to what it was in 2010, thus inspiring the companies to indulge and spend more on digital marketing,” adds Bhupendra.

The most optimistic prediction about digital marketing investment in India is to increase it to a minimum of $1 billion by the end of the year, of which more than 20 percent of the contribution will be from social media. Initially companies used to create a web page, where after landing users were not able to browse other stuffs. However, today social media is used to engage customers to create brand loyalty. Customers have become more vocal. They share their thoughts, good or bad, provide a feedback and companies are eager to know what their customers like and dislike about them, thus helping the companies to provide better experience. We are in the social revolution: the reality of change is broadly accepted, but norms about fundamental issues still remain elusive.

Now Blood Flow will Secure your Laptop

Fujitsu announced a biometric authentication system based on palm vein pattern recognition technology to secure your laptops. This technology is named “PalmSecure” has been in use in many business application in Japan for past few years and now the company is planning to make its presence left in consumer electronics too.

Plam-scanning technology is already there in mice and physical keyboards, but now Fujitsu is stepping up in this authentication technology  to incorporate it in to laptops and other devices to make them more secure.  Laptop having PlamSecure is already available in Japan and now devices with this technology will be available in North America too.

This technology can also be used for  Physical access control / Time and Attendance, Government / Commercial identity management systems and in OEM terminal devices.

Joel Hagberg, vice president of marketing and business development at Fujitsu says “Fujitsu looked at a range of products and determined that vascular authentication--reading vein patterns and specifically in the Palm is the best. PalmSecure takes a snapshot of blood moving through your vein. They call it Liveness Detection, which means you have a live body with biometric authentication which makes it very hard to fool the device.”

PalmSecure palm vein biometric authentication device is already available in India costing        15,750 per sensor, but Indian market has not yet seen any devices like laptops and tablets  which comes with plamSecure.
