The upcoming phone is expected to sport the Apple’s latest and greatest A5 processor chip, iCloud service, higher-resolution camera, and a 4-inch screen size. Here are some of the most anticipated iPhone 5 features:

   With a recent analyst report proposing the iPhone 5 will be introduced to the market in the third quarter of this year, most of the rumours have been focused on its hardware; the next generation iPhone is thought to feature a 4 inch display, a thinner body, an improved battery, and a quad-mode Qualcomm chip bringing 4G LTE support.However, a recent report from Product Reviews proposes the iPhone 5 could include a 3D interface utilising motion control sensors, rather than being simply touchscreen centred.This would mean features such as FaceUnlock coming to the iPhone 5; this is found on the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS, and was also recently brought to jailbroken iOS deivces with the RecognizeMe app.

   

   An Apple owned patent, "Sensor Based Display Environment", is also a pointer that the decision makers from Cupertino headquarters are planning integrating a 3D UI into its devices.The patent filed by Apple lets users escape the touchscreen addiction, with a combination of sensors allowing the user to navigate the interface without touching the iPhone's screen.It has also been widely reported that the upcoming Apple TV may also use gesture control (as well as voice) in a radical new user interface.

  

iPhone 5 Launch Date

    Apple follows a tradition to launch new devices in their summer Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), but that didn’t happen this year.

However, BGR reported that an AT&T Vice President has confirmed to several employees that the iPhone 5 that boasts a stronger chip for processing data and a more advanced camera is scheduled to be launched in early October. Additionally, the VP communicated the following to a group of managers: “Expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days, so prepare your teams accordingly.”

We can expect the announcement of the iPhone 5 in a late September event along with a release date set for early October.
